‪#‎IwillVoteOct19 After living in Canada for 13 yeats, this summer I invited my sister to come visit us. I wanted to take her around and show her my favorite places in Toronto. I wanted my kids to have a memory of their auntie living with them and feel the joy. I wanted to show her my home. She had to write a letter for the Visa officers to explain the reason why she wanted to come visit us. Since you cannnot just say "because I want to see my sister and my nephews" she had to write a whole page to explain and make them understand why she wanted to see her sister. Because, really why on earth you might miss your sister, especially if you are from Iran? So in her Purpose of Travel she explained that she would be travelling alone, without her husband, and will stay with us only for a month. She wrote that she was excited to see our place and the new life we have made for us here. She wrote that she wanted to help me with my two young children so I can have a little bit of break with a peace of mind. She wrote that she simply loved to read bed time stories for her nephews and take them to the park sometimes. She wrote that she missed us. To all our surprise, her visitor visa was rejected for the following reason - reciting: "You did not provide sufficient reason for travelling to Canada" Really? I am just wondering what other reasons could be considerd more genuine? Mr. Harper! How do you explain granting Canadian citizenship - and not just temporary visiting visas- to those fraudulent who lundry their embezzled money into Canada? Fraud is a crime. Or, Is it Ok if their money is spent in Canada - even if they are from Iran? Mr. Harper! I have paid tax during the past 13 years.I have done volunteering work to make my community and our city a better place. It is my right to invite my family to my house. I am not a second class citizen as you want me to be. Mr. Harper! Tomorrow is the time to return the favor!
